The reflection on arts and music (jazz and funk) is her passion. She expressed a strong curiosity to share her thoughts and research in a concrete manner and joined the Rabbit Research art collective in its very beginning. She brings to the collective her knowledge of philosophy and semiotics. She is inspired by Deleuze, Barthes, Baudrillard and Derrida, amongst many others, who enrich her texts and research.

« To me, theoretical and practical university work makes only sense if it is linked with the world of dance, of music and arts in general. To create a relation between the two universes is the quintessence and the sine qua non condition for an understanding of realities we live in and which we construct »

Katharina received her diploma (Masters) in media culture in 2003 (Bauhaus University of Weimar and the University of Lyon 2) and her PhD in media and communication sciences at the University of Geneva where she is actually an assistant teacher and a post-doc researcher.
