Born in 1963, Alain initiated himself in electroacoustics with Studio in Annecy, France : Studio Collectif &Cie. He also enjoys exploring sound and the energy of rock music with the group “Dernier du Culte.” He studied music composition at the Conservatory of Geneva with Eric Gaudibert. His work was presented at many festivals (Futura - Paris, Red 0- Barcelona, Synthèse- Bourges, Ear Festival- Budapest, Rhino Jazz Festival, Musique Action) and his compositions were awarded at the “Académie Internationale de Lutèce” (Paris) and IBLA Music Found (NY). He played for many ensembles including Phaeton Dernière Danse, mixing electronics and archaism and Sol III, symphony of rumors around the world. He has always been in love with cinematograpy, and is interested in experimental film and art videos where he sees many relationships between his work with sound. After his film studies at ESPEC (Paris) and Art du Spectacle (Sorbonne) he ventured into the electronical dimension of images. His works are displayed in festivals around the world (Prix International de Vidéodanse de Grasse, MAC de Lyon, L'image insensée, Kinofilm à Manchester). His most recent short film, “D’entre les morts,” received an award at the Worldfest of Houston (bronze), the Festival de Cinéma de Manchester (best independent short film) and Twin River Media Festival Asheville (3rd place). |
